Prevention measures against COVID-19
Anti-virus kit / ticket pouch
In order to address the safety concerns of our travelers and reduce the transmission of covid-19 while traveling, we have decided to offer an anti-virus kit to our customers. The kit will contain masks and alcohol disinfectant and will be presented in our own original pouch. The pouch is made of traditional Japanese paper (“washi”) and is developed in collaboration with a Kyoto based master woodblock printer. Given the tough structure of Japanese paper the pouch can also function as a ticket holder.
Avoiding the crowds
At MIWA we always have a focus on the less busy areas of Japan. Since the onset of the pandemic this has become even more important as we see a growing demand from our customers to avoid crowded and cramped destinations. We are happy to announce that we have designed several tours taking place in the lesser known (and less crowded) areas of the country. Some of these include the Kii peninsula, the Setonaikai National Park, the Kyushu island, and the Chubu alps region.
